QR codes and barcodes make it easy to share information and manage products, documents, and data. SoftMaker Office Professional 2026 adds new QR-code capabilities, including Multiple line QR codes and EPC QR codes, while allowing you to create QR codes and barcodes directly in your documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.

To create and insert your own QR code or barcode, proceed as follows:

1. Open TextMaker 2026, PlanMaker 2026, or Presentations 2026.
2. Choose the ribbon command Insert | group Objects | QR Code/Barcode frame.
3. Choose the desired code Type from the drop-down menu.
4. Enter the desired URL, text, or number in the field below.
5. Click OK. The QR code or barcode is now inserted as a picture frame

You can easily reposition or resize the frame:

• To move it, click and drag the frame to your desired location.
• To adjust its size, use the round handles surrounding the frame.

Note: Picture frames can also be converted into embedded images or vice versa using the “Convert” command in the ribbon.

New in SoftMaker Office 2026: Multiple-Line QR Code

A new QR-code option in SoftMaker Office 2026 is the Multiple line QR code, which allows numbers and characters to be entered over several lines. This is particularly useful for creating EPC QR codes, also known as payment codes or GiroCodes. A compatible banking app can scan the EPC QR code and automatically transfer the payment information into an online payment form. SoftMaker Office Professional 2026 also includes an EPC input window that makes it easy to enter the required payment information in the correct order.

QR Code and Barcode Options

Here are the available options:

• QR code: This versatile two-dimensional code accommodates various types of data, including URLs and text.
• Multiple line QR code: A new 2026 option for entering information across multiple lines, including EPC QR codes.
• Barcode128: A high-density alphanumeric barcode supporting numbers and ASCII characters.
• Barcode EAN-13: A numeric barcode requiring 12 digits, with the 13th checksum digit generated automatically.
• Barcode EAN-8: A numeric barcode requiring 7 digits, with the 8th checksum digit generated automatically.
